Bonjour beautiful people! I hope that you are having a chic and sophisticated Saturday.
Right now I’m staring down two-dozen DNA-immunoprecipitations and feeling guilty because I haven’t written a single blog post since my recap of last weekend’s trail-running adventure! Luckily the experiments that I’m slogging through this Saturday allow me an hour’s down-time while my DNA pulls down.
My short break from biochemistry is the perfect opportunity to introduce you, my gentle readers, to the newest employee of Marathonsam Incorporated! I invite everyone to join me in giving a warm welcome to my new Executive Director of Social Marketing and Brand Communications: Gatsby.
In case you are wondering, this brings the total number of employees working at the Liability Limited Corporate Conspiracy behind marathonsam.com to three. I, the Chief Executive Overlord of Recipes, Running, and Ruminations, would be completely lost without the support of my training coach and social secretary, Porter.
Gatsby and Porter have been introduced to each other. These co-workers get along as well as any two employees of a major, high-profile corporation: they vaguely aware of and largely indifferent to each others’ existence.
Gatsby is adjusting to his new position admirably. We sat down for a dinner discussion of the company’s directions and he offered up some truly exciting ideas for promoting synergy across all platforms.
Have a wonderful weekend everybody!
Did you read The Great Gatsby for high school? I re-read it last year and was blown away at how much beauty and humor I missed the first time I encountered the text.
